What can Opp do for Athletes?

How Can Chiropractic Care Help With Sports Injuries?

Chiropractors look at how the body is functioning from head to toe by looking for things such as muscle imbalances, joint misalignments in the spine or limbs, and postural and structural deformities. We use state of the art technology to detect disturbances in the nervous system and muscle imbalances that can pull the spine out of alignment which will inhibit an athlete’s performance. A chiropractic spinal manipulation or “adjustment” is given to the area that is out of alignment which will improve nervous system function and muscle imbalances.

Many athletes are taking advantage of the benefits to their performance that chiropractic care can give them. Chiropractic is one of the tools that are available to every athlete. Here at Opp, we use a combination of chiropractic care, soft tissue mobilization techniques, and functional movement patterns to address each injury individually.

Our state of the art Kinetisense Program takes a 3D scan of your posture, joint range of motion, and functional movement patterns that give us vital information on how your body is moving. This allows us to see the compensation patterns that have developed following an injury. It is also a great tool to see where your body is moving incorrectly even before an injury has occurred so that we can rehabilitate the faulty pattern and improve how you perform.
